How is TMG different from others in Tucson? Very simple! TMG is NOT a modeling agency or school. We are a scouting and development company. Our main focus is finding, educating and training potential models and actors for national and international placement with major market agencies. Tucson is a small fashion/acting /commercial market with few opportunities for experience or actual jobs. As a select member of IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association) TMG can offer its aspiring models and actors exposure to hundreds of modeling and acting agents at the IMTA conventions. These agents come to IMTA from all over the world - from all the major markets - New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, Barcelona, Australia, etc. WOW! CAN you imagine all that! |
How do you find your models and actors?
TMG has model and talent searches 3 to 4 times
a year in Tucson and this is when we find most of them. We always
have our eyes open wherever we go, scouting for Tucson's beautiful
& talented people!

What are the requirements to be a model or actor? Generally, a female fashion model is 5'8" to 5'11" tall, size 4-7 and between 12 to 23 years of age. Male fashion models are 5'11" to 6'2" tall, wear a jacket size 40 to 42 and are 15 to 28 years old. There are, of course, exceptions, but these are the accepted general guidelines. (Kate Moss is about 5'6 1/2"!) Fashion models work in runway shows, showroom modeling, editorial and fashion print (such as magazines, advertising ads, catalogs and billboards) and many also do TV commercials. Commercial models can be of any age, height and size and have more of a "real people" look for everyday product and service advertising. Actors/actresses again can be of any age, height and size, but must also possess a charismatic and outgoing personality. Actors/actresses work in film, video, television and theatre. All of the above should be fit, have healthy hair, clear skin and good teeth. TMG scouts for kids, starting at 4 years of age, teens and adults. |

What are the traits of a successful model or actor?
Ambition and Motivation.
Modeling and acting as a career takes time, a lot of effort and
yes, money. You can't wait around for the phone to ring, you must
go after what you want. Realize that there is no such thing as an
overnight success!
A Positive Attitude
There is no place for bad attitudes, negativity or tantrums!
You must be pleasant at all times and get along with agents, clients,
producers and photographers. There are thousands of other models
or talent to replace you if you're not professional or easy to work
with.
Confidence
All talent must be able to take criticism and rejection. Not
every client will like your looks or think you are right for the
job. You must have confidence in yourself to last in this business.
